October 2019: Harvesting and cleaning grain. Our long time grain cleaner and bagger, Lompoc Valley Seed & Milling, closed down, which is a big loss for the grain and bean farmers of this area. Melissa and Juliet always looked forward to driving across town to pick up our grain harvest, one pallet at a time, with our little bread truck. Now (unless someone local wants to pick up the baton) we will have to get the grain cleaned a little farther afield. Not impossible, but less ideal. 


BAKERY DAYS: This fall Melissa will be baking bread most Fridays and selling at the Santa Barbara Farmers’ Market on Saturdays. Exceptions: Oct 25/26, Nov 15/16, Nov 22/23  

Fridays: Bread is available at the tasting room/bakery most Fridays (see above calendar description). Loaves are available as they come out of the oven, with the first loaves typically ready around 2 pm and the last loaves coming out in the late afternoon/early evening. 1501 E. Chestnut Ave.

Saturdays: Piedrasassi's bread, wine, vinegars, and prepared mustard are sold at the Saturday Santa Barbara Farmers’ Market, Cota/Anacapa Streets. See above for bakery days/absences.
